It has been well cared for and well played over the years and does show some moderate playwear including some small dings and scratches on the resonator, some wear and smuding on the head, and a moderate amount of playwear on the frets (see pictures). This banjo has been fitted with a Cheat-a-Key D-Tuner system as well as railroad spikes on the 7, 8, 9, 10th frets. This banjo has been fully set up and plays great! The neck is straight, the action is low and comfortable, and the banjo chords clearly and easily all the way up the neck. This banjo will come complete with a newer style Gold Tone hardshell case with a nice padded handle that is in excellent condition.
